I am happy.I am currently in Othello, which I despise - and I'm also stage managing another show, which is bloody fantastic. I've been watching The IT Crowd of late. Hilarious. So I spend my days working and then I'm out at night with either my friend Cam or Evan, Luke, and Nathan (we are a foursome, always). I work with all of them, so we're always going out after work and just staying out till three. None of us works until after noon, anyway. I feel young for once. I feel 20. Two nights ago, Evan, Luke, Nathan, and I played Frisbee in a pitch black parking lot at two a.m. We didn't catch the damn thing once. Tonight, after we dropped Evan off at home, Luke and Nathan and I drove up and down the highway eating celery and smoking. I've also been wearing my hair in a beehive lately. BRING ME HOME I'VE GOT NO PLANS FOR TOMORROW I'VE GOT NO PLANS IN SIGHT IN FACT, I'M FREE THIS WEEK I'M FREE THIS MONTH I'M GONNA LIVE THIS YEAR I'M GONNA LIVE FOREVER BUT TODAY I'M QUEEN OF THE WORLD I BUMP INTO THINGS I SPIN AROUND IN CIRCLES AND I'M SINGING WHY CAN'T I STAY LIKE THIS DEAR GOD LET ME BE YOUNG LET ME STAY, PLEASE LET ME STAY LIKE THIS -ida maria, "queen of the world" My current obsession is "Whose Authority" by Nada Surf, which is just kind of stunning. And I can't get this one question they ask in the song out of my mind: How do you stay where you most want to be? If I get this (rather big) role in this indie feature I auditioned for a little bit ago I will be so happy. I am happy. And miserable, but happy. Labels: othello, queen of the world 0 Comments: |
